Inclusion at Willowbank

Inclusion at Willowbank

We know that every child is different, special and unique. Because of this, every child needs something different in order to thrive. We have a team of teachers and teaching assistants who make up our Inclusion Team, providing children and parents with specialist interventions, support and advice.

We want all of our children to thrive. In order for this to happen we offer a wide variety of interventions. From Fun Fit, High Five, ELSA and Social groups to Mental Health and well being interventions.

Our Inclusion Team

At lunchtime we open the Meadow Room for children who may need a quieter space or more guided play activities. Many of our SEND children can find the school hall a busy and noisier environment to eat in, therefore the Meadows room or alternative areas are found to support those children.

Film Night in the Meadow!

A separate showing of 'Luca' was screened in The Meadow Room for all children who prefer to watch in a quieter and sensory filled environment.  Children were able to sit on the sofas, beanbags and cushions while accessing Lego, fidget toys and sensory objects to support their concentration.
