Remote Learning

In the event of a school closure, the majority of remote learning will be provided by class teachers via Seesaw. Please ensure that you have signed the consent form for Seesaw use for your child/children.

For extended periods of remote learning, a combination of methods will be used to teach your child remotely, this will be outlined by a weekly timetable and could include:

• Live content through Teams lessons

• Pre recorded videos on Seesaw

• Activities posted through Seesaw with detailed instruction

• Links to recommended websites such as Oak Academy or BBC to support learning.

This balanced timetable will be outlined weekly so you and your child can prepare for the content delivered in the week ahead.

For families with limited access to technology, work packs can be printed and provided; please contact admin@willowbank.devon.sch.uk should you require this.

Home Learning

As a school, we value the importance of supporting our children to develop the skills of responsibility, managing a routine and completing tasks within an expected time period. Our home learning tasks are designed to enhance our primary curriculum, which is much broader now than it ever was in the past.

We encourage all parents and carers to be actively involved in discussing your child’s home learning with them, so that they can benefit from your experience and enjoy a wider perspective.

Each week, the children will be expected to complete the following age appropriate home learning tasks:
