Yes, we are really proud to be able to offer Forest School to children across the whole school community. We have a dedicated Forest School Practitioner, Miss Mogford, who delivers this provision in our large outdoor Forest School area, which includes a recently refurbished pond area. Please see our Facebook page for news on our Little Willows sessions, which are open to all of the community every other Monday (9am to 11am).
We offer a popular breakfast club starting at 7.45am daily, there are a number of food options and activities available. The cost of this is just £3.60 per session. We also hold a number of teacher led after school clubs, these include Drama club, Choir club, Sports club etc.
We currently have 250 children on roll split across 9 classes. The average class size is 28. There is currently no limit on primary school class sizes. Infant classes (years F-2) are subject to a maximum of 30 per class.
Absolutely! We are very fortunate to have our very own onsite kitchen and staff from Norse. We offer a wide variety of healthy, hot meal options, including a salad bar and can cater for any dietary requirements. Meals are free for children in years FS to 2 under the government Universal Free School meals scheme. We have special themed meals throughout the year, such as Christmas dinner, and meals that reflect a variety of other festivals related to belief and cultures.
Yes, we have both! Our FSW, Mrs Stephens works 4 days per week, and is available to offer help and support to our families and children. Our SENCO, Mrs Frost is available every day.
We don’t set specific homework for our Foundation children, however we encourage parental support at home with reading and phonics.
