As part of our ongoing work to strengthen the partnership between home and school, we're making some changes to the way we share your child’s learning with you. We know how important it is for parents to feel informed, involved, and connected to what their children are learning in school.
Until now, we’ve been sharing a two-page knowledge organiser by email. While this shared the key knowledge, we want to improve how and when this information reaches you – to make it more useful and timely.
From now on, we’ll be sharing your child’s learning journey step-by-step, in the same sequence they are experiencing it in class. This means you’ll know what your child is learning each week, making it easier to talk about their day, ask specific questions, and support their learning at home.
We’ll be using Tapestry, our secure online platform, to share this information. You’ll be able to see what’s happening in the classroom and share your thoughts and comments too – and we really value these! When parents engage with posts by liking or commenting, it helps strengthen the learning partnership and has a positive impact on children’s progress.
