About the Virtual School:

Who is it for?

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 who are not returning to school even when the year groups are invited to do so.

Why has it been created?

As some year groups begin their phased return back into school, some of our teachers are back to working on site planning and teaching the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 (once invited to return.) This means those children will now be accessing their learning in school. Because of this, the Virtual School has been created to provide children in those year groups, who cant attend school, because for example they are shielding or through family choice to remain at home, with at home learning resources.

Is it for other year groups as well?

The Virtual School is only for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children. For the year groups who have not been invited to return yet (Y2,3,4 and 5), online learning will continue to be provided by their class teachers on our school website.
