Good morning! We loved hearing all of your questions for the astronaut in our morning welcome yesterday. You were very interested in what 'space food', so here are three facts, according to NASA:

  • All foods must be kept in air tight packaging to stop it from going off
  • No food with 'crumbs' are allowed on NASA's space crafts - so that means no bread or biscuits!
  • Astronauts have special meal trays which can be strapped to the wall or their laps to stop their plates from floating around in the space craft.

We hope you have a lovely day.

  • Miss Gibbs has put some exciting information onto the PE section of the At Home Learning page all about the Devon Virtual School Games - giving you the opportunity to take part in competitions from home, with medals and certificates to be won in each activity. Make sure you take a look, and send us any photos of the activities you complete.
  • We have just a couple more chapters of The Jolley-Rogers and the Ghostly Galleon to share with you before we finish the book. Although there will be no learning on the website next week, we will be uploading the last two chapters of the book on Monday and Tuesday!

Thursday 21st May

Miss Hayman has some new friends who have decided to make a home in her lovely garden... see if you can guess what the animal is from the following clues.

1. A group of this animal is called an array (we love this fact because it links with our learning this week!)

2. They rely on hearing and smell because they don't have very good eye sight

3. They make grunting sounds a bit like a pig

We will share a photo of the animal with you tomorrow, but please let your teacher know if you think you can guess beforehand!

Have a lovely day.

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!

We all hope you enjoyed learning from home yesterday. We know that for some of you, there was quite a lot of learning on our website for you to complete, especially if you had brothers and sisters trying to do their learning too! Please remember to do what you can, but that you do not need to do everything if it is too much! The # challenges we provided are additional learning opportunities to extend your thinking – if you do not get to complete these, that is ok!

It is a beautiful day today, we hope you get the opportunity to go outside for some fresh air, perhaps a short walk or Jo Wick’s PE lesson outside. We look forward to seeing what you have been up to later on today.
